Unless you are just a dedicated diarist, why write if you are not going to be published? I have set myself a goal of getting non-fiction pieces published. This will generate the day to day income I need to continue writing novels.

I have also set myself a goal of submitting to 40 agents for my novel ‘Wiregrass Country’, for I feel that is a reasonable effort to find an agent.

I use QueryTracker to keep track of my progress with the novel and they provide great tips on the process.
